Child’s Play will endeavour to provide all of its services at reduced rates, to make it more accessible to families in our community. All money received, through services and donations will be invested back into the business of Child’s Play and the GRT Foundation, so that ultimately, we can offer our services for substantially less fees.
Service Fees
If you would like to discuss your child’s counselling needs, we are more than happy to talk through the options available to you. We offer a “Parent Intake Session” for you to attend, on your own without you child, so that you can familiarise yourself with the counselling space and activities that would be offered to your child, as well as meeting your child’s therapist. During this discussion, we can talk through the issues affecting your family, and decide on the best counselling plan for your child/ren. There is a small fee charged for this session.

All fees are payable at the time of consultation via cash, or EFTPOS. If you which to make a direct debit, you will need to arrange this prior to the counselling session.
Medicare Rebates
If you have been referred by your GP (under a Mental Health Treatment Plan), paediatrician, or psychiatrist you will be eligible for a rebate through Medicare.
Clients are entitled to a total of 10 sessions per calendar year, however your suitability for this needs to be discussed with your referring doctor.
Please note that only certain problems qualify for a Medicare referral and referrals are at the discretion of your GP. For more information on Medicare referrals, speak to your GP.
Private Health Insurance Claims
Alternatively, you may wish to claim a rebate through your private health insurance.
Please check eligibility for psychology services with your health insurance provider prior to attending your first appointment.
