The GRT Team had a great lunch today to farewell Charles and wish him all the best for his Ocean to Uluru ride. Charles sets off around 430am on Saturday morning ...
The journey will take over 30 days and cover three outback deserts, including a 400km stretch across the Simpson Desert. The ride is self-supported (and in keeping with these Covid times, very socially isolating!). He will be carrying his own food and water supplies with only limited settlements along the way.
Covid has made it a stressful time for families and children, and waiting lists for psychological services are now longer than ever. Charles is using the ride to raise awareness on the need to support our childrens’ mental health in these difficult times and raise funds for Childs Play, to provide more psychological services to children and families in need.
